Place Bellecour in Lyon (France) where the group was formed is the largest public square in Europe. An historic crossroads and meeting place which also symbolises the coming together of three experienced musicians who found their new musical niche in the summer of 2011.
From his origins in Leeds England, singer/guitarist/songwriter Simon Widdowson traveled to America and spent many years on the road absorbing musical influences from the blues of Chicago the alt-country of the Midwestern States the folk music of the Southwest and the indie rock of the Northwest.
After 15 years in America and a subsequent 3 years in Ireland, Widdowson spent time in Lyon where he had the good fortune to meet bassist Pierre Granjean and Togo drummer Martial Macauley, two veterans of several notable French rock groups.
This combination of a well-traveled English singer/guitarist, an African drummer and a French bassist is perhaps the most fitting and most compelling musical representation of Widdowson's songwriting. A sound rooted in the blues but with English pop/rock sensibilities and an American sense of space and perspective.
